What: In 2017, Barkfest will consist of a “Canine and Owner” Fun Run which includes two distances. At the finish line participants will be able to relax and enjoy a bbq and chatter with friends both new and old.

Why: PAW believes the parklands and reserves in and around Albury Wodonga area provide a positive interaction with nature for people and their pets and wish to engage the community in a way which ensures that both residents and visitors to the parklands are increased and further that awareness of the parklands facilities is communicated. Dog ownership improves health and wellbeing, as does connecting with nature and like-minded community members. PAW has put the two together. PAW will use Barkfest as an annual fundraiser for local environmental work which contributes directly to the wellbeing and recreation of community.
