Course Description:

Long Course

The series opening race at Huon Hill sets the tone for the series. With over 13km of trails and 590m of ascent and descent, runners will warm up quickly and definitely challenge themselves. Throughout the race, as runners reach the summit of Huon Hill the views stretch 360d and a huge panorama of Lake Hume, glimpses of snow peaked alpine ranges and city skylines of both Albury and Wodonga make it all worthwhile. A forgiving 3km of flat trail along the Kiewa River provides sanctuary and the chance for runners to feel some pace in their legs. The trek across the north face of the hill and back up to the summit really sweetens the taste of satisfaction.

Short Course

A fast and furious 4km trail that takes in the slopes of Huon Hill and passes through scenic stringy bark forests with magnificent views of the surrounding ranges.

Course Records: 13.8km Male – Caellum Crowe 58:32 (2016) Female – Chloe Anderson 1:16:22 (2022)
